The fine print
Refunds, privacy and terms, on one page, in plain words. Questions go to Erik at emenches@lrdt.co.
Refunds and returns
If something arrives broken or isn't what you ordered, email us within 30 days of delivery with a photo and we'll replace it or refund it, your call. Made-to-order items, which is most of what we sell, can't be returned for a change of mind once they've been built. Shipping back to us is on you unless we got it wrong.
Trail use
Our tools are built for trail repairs and we use them on our own trucks. They are not a substitute for a shop, a lift, or knowing what you're doing. If a tool fails in normal use, tell us; we want to know and we'll make it right.
Privacy
We collect what we need to ship you something or reply to you: name, email, shipping address, and the answers you give on the application or partner forms. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
The list
If you join the list we send trip announcements and finalist news. No promos, no selling the list, and every email has an unsubscribe link that works.
If you tap Notify me on a product, we keep your email, the product and the size or version you picked, and send you one email when it's ready. Then we delete it. It doesn't add you to the list.
Applications
Applications are read by the two of us only. If you aren't selected we delete your application and keep only your email, for one year, as part of the list. Finalists are announced publicly by name, rig and state; nothing else from your application is shared without asking you first.
Photos and film
Attendees sign a release before the trip. Partners get a photo set with stated usage terms. We don't use anyone's likeness commercially without a signed release.
Terms of service
By buying from us or applying to the trip you agree to the above, and to the following: prices are in US dollars and can change without notice; we can refuse or cancel an order and will refund it in full if we do; everything on this site is ours unless credited otherwise, so ask before reusing it.
Long Range Desert Tools LLC, a Maine limited liability company. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine.
About the trip
The trip is a group ride among friends. There is no entry fee and no service is sold. Every attendee is responsible for their own vehicle, safety, costs and conduct, and signs a waiver and likeness release before the start. Off-road travel is dangerous; nobody is obligated to drive anything they don't want to.
